SEPIBLISS™100% virgin coriander seed oil (Coriandrum sativum L) makes it possible to take care of the skin in an efficient and convenient way. It is a unique nutraceutical, soothing ingredient designed to protect skin experiencing daily discomfort with significant results in just 28 days. SEPIBLISS™ does not contain any additives or preservatives and is sourced and produced in the South-West of France from eco-extraction and with full traceability. It is also available in an organic version.
Virgin coriander seed oil is especially rich in petroselinic acid, but is also highly concentrated in linolenic acid, phytosterols and vitamin E. The oil has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and works by protecting the epidermal cells from excessive inflammation and helps to reinforce the skin’s protective barrier. SEPIBLISS™ reduces the activation of skin receptors that induces feelings of itchiness or pain. The protective and soothing effects have been proven by scientific studies.
The effects of SEPIBLISS™ has been assessed in a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled clinical study including 60 women aged 18-65 years, evaluating the effect of 56 days of supplementation with SEPIBLISS™ on sensitive and reactive skins. The 60 women were randomly assigned to SEPIBLISS™ or placebo (200 mg per day) and the results of the tests conducted during the study were evaluated after 0, 28 and 56 days.
The study showed the SEPIBLISS™ significantly reduces redness compared to placebo with a 25% decrease after 28 days and 36% after 56 days. An 18% decrease in the overall stinging reaction compared to placebo was also shown after 56 days of supplementation. Furthermore, a significant decrease of 28% of the stinging duration was observed in the SEPIBLISS™ group compared to baseline. The positive results were backed by the results from a self-assessment questionnaire filled in by the participants at the end of the study where the responses showed a beneficial action on the protection and the soothing of the skin with an important difference compared to placebo.
SEPIBLISS™ is approved for use in food supplements in the EU (Novel Food status – limit max 600 mg) and the US. The nutricosmetic ingredient is suitable for many galenics including soft gels and gummies. The recommended dosage 200 mg per day fits into one capsule.
SEPIBLISS™ can be used as a key ingredient in innovative formulations and trending application supporting skin comfort and soothing. Furthermore, it can be used as a supporting ingredient for more classic “sensitive skin friendly” skincare formulations in e.g. anti-aging, hydrating, glowing or UV formulas to personalise them for sensitive skin.
